Sekandar Hossain Mia join the village of Dulapavan of Sandwip police station. His fathers name was Maulvi Ahmed Mia (Maker). Sekandar Hossain Mia was educated in Bashiriya Mannasa and Deoband. Before 1920, there was no political institution in Sandeep. He formed the Congress Congress Committee and the Khilafat Committee in Sandwip in the presence of JM Sain Gupta in 1920 and was appointed one of the two secretaries of the two committees. He continued his activities in Sandwip for Congress, Khilafat, a Swarajya Party. Sekandar Hossain established the Muslim League in 1937 and became one of his secretary. However, noakhali district muslim league was formed. In 1927, the Muslim Association was formed, Sekandar Hossain was also the secretary. Sekandar Hossain was the secretary of the Muslim Education Fund for 15 years. He represented Sandwip in the session of the Chittagong session of Congress in 1921, in 1928 at the historic 27th session of the All Pakistan Muslim League in the Calcutta session of Congress in 1928, in the Sirajganj session of the Provincial Muslim League in 1942. He also represented twice in the Muslim League meeting in Delhi and also in the All India Muslim League session in Calcutta. One of the most influential people of the island s reign, Sikandar Hossain Miah s whole life is rich in the tradition of religious, social and political work. He has worked in Sarajevi Sociology, but he did not even think about his own interests or fame.
